How Prayer Works Like Driving Thru In-N-Out

How Prayer Works Like Driving Thru In-N-Out by Tiffany Kane | #AspireMag

Have you ever had the experience of going through a Drive Thru, paying for the food, and collecting your bag only to discover later that the order is all wrong?

Well… I’ll tell you what, that does not happen at In-N-Out Burger TM.

You want to know why?

The answer is simple.  You are asked to confirm you order three times before your food is given to you.

First you place your order. As soon as you are finished placing the order, your order is repeated back to you and you are asked if your order is correct. Confirmation #1.

Then you arrive at the paying window. But before you are asked to pay anything your order is repeated back to you and you are asked if the order is correct. Confirmation #2.

Then and only then does the exchange of money take place. Once the transaction is complete you move along to the final window.

When you arrive at the final window, once again your order is read back to you. Once you confirm that your order is correct – Confirmation #3 – the food is given to you and you get to keep on keepin’ on.

So, what does all this have to do with prayer?

Here’s the deal – We live in an abundant Universe and basically you can manifest anything you desire. The first step is to get clear about what it is that you desire, otherwise how can you ask for it?

Imagine pulling up to the In-N-Out drive thru order window. When you are asked to place your order, if you respond with, “Well… I would like something to eat please.” You may get something to eat, but it probably won’t be what you really wanted.

Once you are clear and can state exactly what it is you wish to receive the second thing you must do is say, “Yes. That is correct!” when the Universe asks to confirm your order.

Yes, the Universe does look for confirmation. As a matter of fact, when you get clear about what it is you desire, the Universe will provide lots of opportunities for you to confirm your order.

However, on the surface it may seem like the Universe is providing the opposite of what you asked, because to confirm your order you may need to behave in new and uncomfortable ways.

For example, you may be supremely clear that you have a desire to learn about kindness. Do you know what that means? The Universe will provide you with opportunities to practice kindness in situations for which you will have to consciously choose kindness over your initial knee jerk reaction which may not be too kind at all.

The same is true if you desire to learn about forgiveness. The Universe will provide you with lots of opportunities to be forgiving. Think about it, to learn about forgiveness, you have to have someone to forgive, right? Who is your teacher? Probably the person you have the most difficulty forgiving. It may even be you.

Another example may be about your finances. If you ask for money in your bank account, don’t go running to the bank (or more likely log in to the internet) to see if your balance is increased. Instead look for opportunities to attract money into your account. Perhaps a new job opportunity will appear and you will have to choose not to be fearful of change. Or someone may want to buy a piece of furniture you are no longer using but not quite willing to part with and you will have to choose to release it.

Unfortunately, if you are not looking carefully you may miss the opportunities that have come your way to confirm the order you placed.

But here is the real bummer, if you continually ignore or deny the order confirmation opportunities in front of you the Universe will receive it as a signal that you are no longer interested in receiving your order.
