I like to simplify complex concepts and make things super user friendly.
Frequently, I describe living our lives equates to a movie on a big screen.
I hate to say it but usually the most painful challenges end up being our best teachers with the biggest lessons. I understand if you want to tell me to go pound sand but hold on a minute.
Life is difficult-even Buddha said that.
It seems just when you get over one catastrophe another one comes marching along. You ask yourself why do bad things happen to good people? They don’t. The Universe doesn’t discriminate. Things, even painful ones happen through us, not to us. In some way, your thoughts planted seeds in the cosmic field which then manifested into your experience.
I want to share some difficult lessons I learned the hard way. Usually that’s how I get the message. Admittedly it could be right under my nose but I don’t pay attention until it hits me on the head.
- You attract everything into your life, the good, the bad and the ugly. If you look deeply into your most recent challenge, there will be pieces that you can pull together. Parts that you created may have caused someone else’s participation but the root cause will come back to you. Ever notice that in all your conflicts there is one common denominator? You! I know it is upsetting but it is also a wakeup call. You have more control on what happens in your life than you think. You are not a victim You can choose to be the observer of your experience or you can choose to be the director of your screen play. And you, dearie, it stops you in your tracks. You drop to your knees-you feel paralyzed. My own example is the implosion of my marriage. I was curled up in a ball. The most common response is for you to hit the pause button. The movie stops and you are stuck in a gut wrenching scene. What if you kept the movie running, slowly but moving forward. You would have a better chance of directing the outcome that you want. You are taking action rather than sitting back and letting someone else run the show.
- Any scene is a temporary image on the screen-it doesn’t make up the whole freaking movie. However, I see clients that allow one bad thing takeover their lives. They keep replaying the same scene over and over again. Every time reliving the pain of loss, betrayal and heartache. They are so identified with their pain they don’t know how to move forward. Life requires that you change the scene, the cast of characters. Nothing is permanent in your life. Everything is subject to change. Why not use the power of change to work for you?
Write a new script, it’s like a vision board. You can pick and choose what you want in the new version. Make it as detailed as possible. Put tons of emotion into it. Make it exciting! Your creating new images for your big screen.
It’s so easy to forget how powerful you really are. People that experience great success and happiness have mastered their power to manifest. They are very aware of where they are putting their attention. Think of your attention as the light coming out of the projector. It lights up the images on your movie screen. If there is no light you don’t get to see what is on the screen.
You can nurture your light with impeccable self-care and taking time for meditation. The quieter your mind becomes the more enhanced your awareness will be. In all honesty, mediation has been my best tool for creating the life I want as well as helping me get through some unthinkable challenges.
Meditation is really not difficult. There are so many resources available now to help you. Two great phone apps are Headspace, Insight Timer and a new one I just heard about called Calm. If you took 20-30 minutes every morning to build a practice, I promise you your life will change dramatically. I hear a lot of excuse that people don’t have the time. That is complete bull. If your success and self-mastery isn’t worth a few minutes in the morning, your living on the wrong planet.
I love YouTube! It is my go to place to learn anything new. Just search “meditation”. You will get music, instructions and some great chakra cleansing videos. I love the Theta waves music for opening my creative energy.
I am passionate about living in a world where women are not afraid to be their most powerful selves. A place where they are not held back by stories of shame and guilt from the past. Hopefully you will embrace some of the tips here to start creating the life you are meant to live.
Take the movie off pause and let your life roll. You are the creative director!
