Close your eyes and imagine that your higher self is tapping on our shoulder to get your attention about something that you’re turning a blind eye to in your life. What situation, habit, or behavior might you not be facing, even though you sense deep down that it’s robbing you of your power? Take a moment and allow your intuition to give you the answer.

Just Chill Out: The Magical Power of Giving Up Your Agenda!

Recently I received an email from a reader who felt her life was just not where she thought it would be (and should be) by now. She expected that by 37, she’d be married with kids and a quaint house. She also thought that by now, she’d have advanced more in her career and would have the means to take exotic vacations. She said she’d been trying so hard to make things happen, but none of her expectations had come to fruition. She asked me for insight into when things would all work out. Would it be soon? I knew intuitively that many of her dreams would come true, but not until she loosened her grip and allowed for the Divine to work it’s magic. My advice to her was simple: Just chill out for awhile!

Of course, we’re all physically here right now, but most of us don’t often truly live in the present moment. Our human minds have the incredible ability to draw us back into the past and propel us into the future, all while we go about our day-to-day lives. While it can sometimes be good to relive old memories and dream about our future, living in the past or future more than the present can also keep us stuck. How many times have you found yourself in a repetitive cycle you just can’t seem to break? Or, what about getting caught up on a future outcome, while avoiding things you need to focus on now? We’ve all been there, myself included. And, it’s time to stop this madness!

What to Do When You’re Overwhelmed with Too Much to Do

I had a shazam moment yesterday. We’re gearing up for a cross-country move right now, and have so much to do in such little time. From packing and saying goodbye to Sedona to getting settled in our new home in Portsmouth, NH, my mind was moving a roller coaster speed: “What should we pack first?” “How are we going to get everything all squared away over the next few weeks?” “What if things don’t go smoothly?” On and on I worried. After a busy morning with a TV interview and errands in Boston, I was hurrying to my next meeting when a park bench seemed to have my name on it. As I sat down to take a break and mull over everything, I realized that in all the busyness of moving I’d unwittingly let myself become stuck in the Sticky Swamp. Yikes!

Your Enchanted Map

"Here & Now" Road Sign with dramatic clouds and sky.

Where are you right now? Close your eyes and describe where you feel you are. Are you in a Field of Dreams, where you’re planting the seeds of your intention and are eager to see the results? Are you lost in a dry desert, where abundance eludes you? Are you wandering through the Valley of Loss?

The Map: Getting From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be

Close your eyes for a moment and ask yourself, “Where am I now?” Let go of the literal, left brained part of you that wants say that you’re sitting at your computer reading this blog.  Instead, quiet your mind and let your intuition speak to you.
